Raum und Gele­gen­heit zum gemein­sa­men Lesen bie­tet die Stadt­bü­che­rei bei einer „Silent Rea­ding Par­ty“. Im Rah­men der „Akti­ons­wo­che gegen Ein­sam­keit“ soll die­ses Ange­bot, nie­der­schwel­lig und kos­ten­frei, mög­lichst Vie­len die Chan­ce eines unver­bind­li­chen Zusam­men­kom­mens bie­ten. Statt Tanz und lau­ter Musik erwar­tet die Teil­neh­men­den die­ser Par­ty das lei­se Rascheln blät­tern­der Buch­sei­ten und ein unge­zwun­ge­ner Aus­tausch mit ande­ren Lese­be­geis­ter­ten, gefei­ert wird die Begeis­te­rung für Bücher.
Etwa 2 Stun­den lang kann in die mit­ge­brach­te, oder vor Ort aus­ge­lie­he­ne Lek­tü­re abge­taucht wer­den. Zwi­schen­durch gibt es eine Lese­pau­se für alle, die sich über das aktu­ell Gele­se­ne oder ande­re Buch­tipps aus­tau­schen möch­ten. Die Pau­se kann, muss aber nicht für Gesprä­che genutzt wer­den, es kann auch ein­fach wei­ter­ge­le­sen wer­den.
Die Ver­an­stal­tung soll zum einen die Mög­lich­keit bie­ten, sich mit ande­ren zu ver­bin­den, denn min­des­tens ein gemein­sa­mes Inter­es­se ist durch das The­ma des Abends ja schon vor­ge­ge­ben. Zum ande­ren soll sie einen Rah­men schaf­fen, in dem sich ohne Ablen­kung dem Lesen gewid­met wer­den kann. Gemein­sam in ent­spann­ter Atmo­sphä­re, aber jeder still für sich.
